Early Life and Path to Becoming a Drone Racing Champion

Milk Varrinya Wannaphong started flying drones at just eight years old. Her father was her coach and also her main inspiration. She practiced hard in all kinds of weather.   • In 2018, she became a world champion in the Drone Racing League (DRL). People also call it King of the World. She was the first and youngest woman to win this title.
  • In 2019, she won the Drone Champions League (DCL) in Madrid, Spain.
  • In 2020, she received the Drone Pilot of the Year award at the FAI Awards.
  • In 2022, she won the FIM Drone Racing World Cup in Russia.
  • Most recently in 2024, she won the FPV Drone Racing World Championship for the third time.

She is also the first female pilot to rank number one in Freestyle. This category needs high skills and creativity.

In 2023, at the age of 16, she brought honor to Thailand once again by securing her third world championship title. She took first place in the women’s individual category at the 2023 World Drone Racing Championship in Namwon, South Korea. She is now 18 years old (as of 2025).
